The simplicity of white evokes a feeling of elegance, sophistication and purity. People are drawn to all-white bathrooms because we associate white with things that are hygienic.

"White in a bathroom looks clean," said Alex Clements, Fixture Universe Sales Associate.

The color white is a blank canvas; consider using a broad palette of whites instead of just one. And don’t be afraid to mix textures. "When you're working with whites, you want to look at matte and brushed surfaces as well as shiny surfaces," says Alex. "For example, if your toilet, sink and bathtub are glossy white, you could use a matte-finish tile."
